Murraytrek tours have been operating tours to Mungo National Park since 2001 , offering both day & sunset tours all year round.
Day tours leave Mildura at 8:00am, with pickup and from your accommadation in the Mildura area. On the sunset tour, you will be picked up from your accommadation around 3:00pm, depending on time of year, however pickup time can vary throughout the year dependant on sunset times. All meals are included on both tours.
Tours

On the day tour you are picked up from your accommodation (Mildura area) at 8:00am and travel to Mungo National Park, a drive of approximately one & a half hours. On arrival we have morning tea - freshly made scones with cream & jam, tea & coffee.
After morning tea you have one hour of free time to explore the main educational and informational hub of the park, which includes the cultural centre, offering detailed displays of the 45,000+ year history of Aboriginal culture, and the historic Mungo Woolshed (built in 1869).
After that we drive across the ancient lake bed to the Walls of China where I will guide you on a walk across the walls and into the restricted area. The walk usually takes about one and a half hours (easy walk) and when complete we drive to the western lookout for lunch - delicious homemade fresh sandwiches and juice. After lunch we begin the drive home arriving back in Mildura between 3:00 & 4:00pm
Day Tour

On the sunset tour pickup time will depend on the time of year you are choosing to experience. In winter, pickup time is 1:30pm, whilst in summer it is 3:30pm, depending on sunset times.
This tour is the most popular of the two tours because of the photography opportunities and exposure to wildlife, as well as being much cooler in the evenings during the hot summer.
Mungo is well known for its spectacular sunsets and on this tour you still get the one hour to explore the cultural centre & shearing shed. The evening meal is cold meats and salad platters.
