Simpson Desert

The Simpson Desert trip is a 12-14 day tour which leaves Mildura and travels to the Flinders Ranges on the first day, from there we travel up the Oodnadatta track through Oodnadatta to William creek and then on to Dalhousi springs the start of the Simpson Desert. Dalhousi spring is a natural hot spring, beautiful spot to camp and swim.

Crossing the Desert to Birdsville usually takes 3 days, expect to see wild camels, dingo's, snaked and lizards. We spend a night in Birdsville, having a meal in the famous Birdsville pub.

The Birdsville museum is not to be missed either, we then drive to Innaminka traveling through Cordillow downs, this section takes most of the day.

After staying the night on the Cooper creek at Innaminka we drive on to Tibbaburra either via the Bore track or through Moomba passing through Camerons Corner.

From Tibbaburra we drive down to Broken Hill, stay the night visiting Silverton before leaving on our last leg of the trip back to Mildura.
