Tours to the Northern TerritoryA tour up through the red centre is something you will remember forever, with so much to offer the visitor. On a trip to the top end we visit coober pedy where most people live underground. The area is known for its opals with mine shafts dotted all over the place, also about 25 kilometres north of coober pedy is the breakaways, this place will astound you with all the different coloured soils, yellows, orange, creams etc.
The next major icon is uluru, a must see, most people would have seen pictures of it but it still does not prepare you for the initial glance of this amazing icon.
Alice Springs also has a lot to offer the visitor, then it’s off to Mataranka, passing through Tennant Creek on the way, Mataranka is a great place to stop over as they have the well known hot springs. Katharine Gorge is the next major stop over. As a visit to Katharine is not complete without a cruise through this beautiful gorge.
Then it’s on to Kakadu National Park with all it’s waterfalls and the great Yellow waters cruise where you will see an abundance of bird life, wild brumbies, crocodiles, etc You can then visit Darwin for a day or two and on the way out visit Litchfield National Park where there are some great swimming spots. To avoid backtracking we can go across to Broom and maybe visit the Bungle Bungles on the way, then travel down the west coast to Port Hedland and then head inland to Newman, Kalgoolie, and back home across the Nullarbor. All this can be done in about thirty days.
